We’re going to tell you one of our secrets, because we really like you. We’ve been holding on to this for a while, and it’s time to share. One of our most favorite brunch spots of all time is Los Comadres Restaurante Mexicano y Marisqueria in Lake Alfred. This hidden gem serves up authentic Mexican dishes, and we seriously can’t get enough.

First things first, it’s so cute inside, the prices are great, and the service is excellent. It’s casual, it’s comfortable, and we want to come back every weekend.

Brunch is not boring here. We ordered a lot, so let’s get started. The huevos divorciados come with two crunchy corn tortillas each topped with an egg (your way), red & green salsa, onion, queso fresco, and sour cream. You get a side of beans and potatoes with that. We added chorizo, which took this already delicious dish, over the top. Will definitely get it again. The burrito was big, stuffed with eggs, beans, cheese, potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The tostada was from the regular menu, and it was crunchy, fresh, and super delicious. The steak tacos were also off the regular menu, and at $2.50 each, they were absolutely stuffed with meat. Finally, we ordered the tres leches pancakes for the table to share. They’re served with strawberries, whipped cream, and a white sauce. They were so good and not too sweet. They came with syrup on the side, however we didn’t think they needed the extra sweetness. Yes, they also serve mimosas, Bloody Marys, and micheladas for the complete brunch experience.
