Florida's food scene is making a name for itself, stepping onto the global stage with the expansion of the Michelin Guide. As of April 17th, 2025, Michelin is recognizing Greater Fort Lauderdale, The Palm Beaches, and St. Pete-Clearwater, highlighting Florida's climb toward world-class dining.

Even though Polk County is not on the list, we can take a moment to celebrate the Florida restaurants that have already earned a star. Here are three of our favorite Michelin Star restaurants in the Tampa and Orlando areas.

Where: 1809 Winter Park Rd., Orlando

Cuisine Type: Contemporary Sushi & Saki

Kadence is an intimate, high-end Japanese dining experience curated by husband-and-wife team Mark and Jennifer Berdin. What started as a humble market stand has become one of Orlando’s most renowned culinary spots. The menu features flavorful and colorful dishes rooted in traditional cooking methods. Housed in a sleek black box building, Kadence is easy to spot and hard to forget!

Where: 500 Channelside Dr., Tampa

Cuisine Type: Contemporary Mediterranean

With one Michelin star, Lilac delivers an elegant Mediterranean-inspired menu in a space as stunning as the food. Emerald green accents cover everything from the plush booths to the tiles framing the open concept kitchen, creating a warm and inviting dining experience.  According to Michelin inspectors, Lilac’s standout entrées include the Ora King salmon and the Dover sole, delicately served in butter and with glazed vegetables. The portion sizes are satisfactory yet modest and made for anyone who wants to experience Mediterranean cuisine at the highest level.

Where: 4962 New Broad St., Orlando

Cuisine Type: Contemporary Vietnamese French

Camille is where art and fine dining collide. This Michelin-starred hidden gym offers a multi-course immersive experience combining Vietnamese and French-inspired cuisine. The best seats in the house are located at the bar top, where diners can watch the chef curate each plate in real time. To further elevate the experience, Camille’s offers three variations of wine pairings throughout the meal.
