It’s an exciting time in Downtown Mulberry! The City of Mulberry has teamed up with Jonathan Bucklew of The Joinery fame to launch Depot 303, right across from the iconic Gem Theater.

Think: bright, airy vibes and a seriously cool space with plenty of indoor seating—perfect for chilling out on those toasty Florida afternoons & evenings.
We dropped by during a soft opening day to check it out. Spoiler alert: we absolutely loved everything. The food, the atmosphere, and the excitement for the rest of the restaurants to move in and start serving.

First up, we had Tilaw. If you’re familiar with Pinoy Cravings (Filipino food), then you know Tilaw. They’ve taken everything you love from Pinoy and added more options. We ordered the grilled & crispy platter for $17. It included coconut rice (which was amazing), three chicken skewers, two pieces of lumpia, and a side of achara (pickled green papaya). We loved this. They also offer sandwiches like the longganisa, which comes with Filipino-style pork sausage, eggs, and American cheese. The chicken adobo meal is “the unofficial national dish of the Philippines.” It comes with slow-cooked chicken thighs, steamed rice, and two pieces of fried gyoza.
Next up, Fat Maggies. We got the classic smash burger for $10. What looked like an unassuming cheeseburger, was not. One bite, and we were hooked. I can’t even tell you why it was so good, it just was. Everything was fresh, and what a value for only $10. You can also get a double burger or a “candied bacon burger.” They offer regular fries and truffle fries, plus “snacks” like mac & cheese, bacon mac & cheese, or banana pudding.

Pizza Odyssey was one that I was looking forward to trying after stalking their Instagram for so long. We tried a pepperoni pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. They use the “cup and char” pepperoni, which we think are the best. IYKYK. They offer specialty pizzas like “Somebody Spank Me” with hot sausage, bell peppers, arugula, and a swirl of honey. Salads, yes. Cheezy bread, yes. Soft serve, YES! You’ve got to love a place that has soft serve. They’ve won my heart.

Finally, we tried Lings Dumplings. It was even more delicious than we were expecting, and cannot wait to go back and try the entire menu. We got the pork & Napa cabbage “signature” dumplings made with pork, Napa cabbage, ginger, and garlic in a traditional dough wrapper served with chili crisp, scallions, and kizami nori. All dumplings are pan-fried and served six to an order. They also have soup dumplings, and a “build your own” dumpling basket. The menu says that boba and noodles are coming soon.

We really loved everything we tried and are looking forward to going back often and trying more menu items. Depot 303 is a homerun and congrats to all involved!
