Tucked away in Polk County is a hidden gem that has been serving the community with authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors for the past six years. Jerusalem Mediterranean Market is more than just a grocery store—it’s a complete sensory experience for anyone who loves bold spices, creamy dips, artisan breads, and Middle Eastern hospitality.

Whether you’re preparing a mezze platter, searching for authentic Turkish coffee, or craving delicious hummus, this market offers everything—and more.

What We Tried: A Mezze Dream

Our visit included a delicious spread of:

Hummus – Rich, creamy, and made fresh

Baba ganoush – Smoky and smooth, perfect with pita chips

Garlic Dip – Bold and garlicky in the best way

Pita Chips – Crisp and perfect for scooping

Two Types of Cheese – Savory, crumbly perfection

Spicy Green Olives & Kalamata Olives – Briny, zesty, and packed with flavor

And yes, we tasted everything—twice, just to be sure.

Self-Serve Deli = Your New Happy Place

One of the best surprises? A self-serve deli counter where you can scoop up your own mix of:

• House-made hummus and baba ganoush

• Pickled vegetables

• Savory and spicy olives

• A rotating selection of Middle Eastern cheese

• Creamy dips you’ll want to try

This setup makes it easy to build a snack board or party platter or keep your fridge filled with flavors from across the Mediterranean.

We couldn’t leave without a sweet bite, and the locally made baklava from Mahabakehouse.com in Tampa was the perfect finish. Sticky, flaky, nutty, and not too sweet—you’ll want more than one piece.

Turkish Coffee, Anyone?

The market also carries everything you need to brew Turkish coffee at home, including the traditional cezve pot and finely ground beans. If you’ve never tried Turkish coffee, this is your chance to start a new (bold) morning ritual.

Whether you’re planning a dinner party, hosting family, or just want to spice up your weekday meals, Jerusalem Mediterranean Market has what you need—and probably a few new things you didn’t know you needed. Leave with full bags and a big flavor.
