Polk County Burger Week Starting to Sizzle Ahead of July Debut

Over 50 Polk County restaurants will participate in the second annual Burger Week event. 


For the second straight year, the thoughts and smells of grills, cookouts – and HAMBURGERS – fill the air as summertime is in full swing. Whether you are ready to dive into the “truffle shuffle” or prefer to head over to the “mango explosion,” you can celebrate all the unique flavors of Polk County Burger Week!  A 10-day county-wide celebration of the All-American favorite runs from July 18-27 and is presented by Visit Central Florida and Destroyer Media & Marketing.

From classic cheeseburgers to inventive gourmet creations, local eateries are gearing up to showcase their best burger offerings. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a week-long celebration of all things burger, with each restaurant putting its unique twist on this beloved American dish. Polk County’s Burger Week aims to tantalize taste buds and support the area’s up-and-coming, vibrant culinary scene. With special deals and the opportunity to explore new flavors, this event will be a hit with foodies and burger enthusiasts alike.

 

Enjoy Burger Week at dozens of restaurants throughout Polk County. Each participating restaurant will have a budget-friendly burger meal or an exclusive hamburger experience featuring a burger creation you haven’t seen before.

 

Some of the participants’ highlights that will whet the appetite and excite the palate include:  

 

  • At Sauvage in Winter Haven, a prime rib steak patty with truffle aioli, arugula, sauteed mushrooms, and crispy onions dubbed The Truffle Shuffle.

  • At S&L in Lakeland, a locally owned restaurant renowned for its burgers, the Mango Explosion offers a mix of tropical diversity and a hearty, multiple napkin experience.

  • In Bartow, Mulligan's Tow Burger features bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomato, and garlic aioli. 

  • At Maria Petit Food Boutique in downtown Auburndale, try a beef alternative! Instead, there will be a Turkey Burger featuring cheese, bacon, arugula, and a guava glaze.

 

Whatever your taste, locals and visitors alike will have the opportunity to enjoy this unique culinary event.
