Arabella’s

This downtown Winter Haven fine-dining destination spares no detail to create a second-to-none guest experience. The ambiance is dreamy, with dim lighting and piano playing softly in the background as guests enjoy their meal with a glass of wine or cocktail from Ave Bar. Expect upscale Italian cuisine and romantic vibes.

Nineteen61

“At Nineteen61, we position ourselves as a benchmark for Lakeland dining. A new standard that shows what is possible – what Lakeland diners should expect from their restaurants.” Nineteen61, opened in 2015 by Chef Marcos Fernandez, is a posh Munn Park mainstay. The cuisine is a modern Spanish style with a Latin American twist and Southern flare. We’d go ahead and make a reservation for this one!

Nutwood

132 Ave B SW, Winter Haven

The patio dining at this Winter Haven restaurant is enough reason to visit alone. Pair that with exquisite fare prepared by Michelin Star Chef Steven Rojas, and this restaurant is a chef’s kiss. The brick-lined patio space is shaded by a sprawling oak tree bordered with lush greenery adorned with twinkling string lights. Their red wine braised beef short ribs with crispy oyster mushrooms and potato gnocchi are to die for.

The Joinery

640 E Main St, Lakeland

(863) 808-4025

This modern food hall overlooking Lake Mirror has options, baby. From sushi and BBQ to burgers and ice cream – there’s a little something for everyone. This would be an ideal Galentine’s Day hangout so we can share the love and pass the pizza. Plus, The Joinery offers a curated wine list, Florida craft brews, and classic cocktails with a modern twist.

Obscure Wine Company

276 W Central Ave, Winter Haven

(863) 268-6555

Did someone say chardonnay and a charcuterie board? This cute Central Ave. wine bar offers an extensive curated wine list, food from its sister restaurant, Agape Agora, and in-house small bites and cocktails. Grab your bestie on February 13 for their Galentine’s Day bash, Hearts & Skulls. The party will feature specialty chocolate and cheese boards, a photo booth, retail pop-ups, and flowers. You could even win a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolate for being the best dressed. XOXO See you there, Queen!

The Terrace Grille

329 E Main St, Lakeland

Wine and dine your Valentine with cuisine as classy and classic as the historic hotel itself. Celebrate your love (or friendship) on Valentine’s Day with a prix fixe dinner by Executive Chef Patrick Baird. Violins will set the mood as you enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne. Cheers! Their regular dinner service will also be available.
